One of the first things couples tell me is:

"We're awkward in front of the camera."

The truth is...almost everyone says that.

The good news is that you don't need to know how to pose or have any modeling experience to have beautiful photos. That's my job.

Here are a few things I do during every session to help couples relax.

Focus on Each Other

Instead of worrying about the camera, I encourage you to focus on your partner.

  • Talk.
  • Laugh.
  • Hold hands.
  • Whisper something funny.

Those natural interactions create the most meaningful photographs.

Movement Creates Natural Photos

Some of my favorite images happen while you're walking together, spinning, hugging, or simply enjoying the moment.

Movement helps remove the pressure of standing perfectly still.

I'll Guide You Every Step of the Way

You never have to wonder what to do with your hands or where to stand.

Throughout the session, I'll provide gentle direction while leaving room for genuine moments to unfold naturally.

My goal isn't stiff posing, it's capturing your personalities.

Don't Worry About Looking Perfect

Your photos don't need to be perfect to be beautiful.

Sometimes the biggest laughs happen because something unexpected happened.

Those are often the moments couples end up loving the most.

Trust the Process

Many couples tell me halfway through the session that they were nervous at first.

By the end, they're laughing, relaxed, and having fun.

That's exactly what I hope for during every session.

Remember Why You're Here

This session isn't about performing for the camera.

It's about celebrating your relationship.

Whether we're photographing your proposal, engagement, anniversary, or wedding, my goal is to tell your story in an authentic way.

If you arrive ready to enjoy the experience together, the beautiful photographs will naturally follow.

I truly believe the best photos happen when you forget the camera is even there.
